Future Cape Town launches Metropolist radio show

Today at 19:00 GMT + 2, Future Cape Town will launch the first live broadcast of Metropolist, a weekly radio show exploring the people and stories which are shaping our cities.

Co-hosted by Rashiq Fataar and Matt Griffiths, the show takes a deeper look at the way in which our cities are changing, and the people, stories, events and ideas shaping them. Broadcast live from Cape Town at Assembly Radio, Metropolist also connects with correspondents in Johannesburg, London and Lagos, bringing a global view to the way citizens and cities interact and engage.

Says Rashiq Fataar, Director of Future Cape Town: “Metropolist is an exciting experiment in reaching citizens in new ways beyond online, social media and uor events. The discussion and debate on the show on topical urban issues will hopefully inspire more people to play a role in their cities.”

In Episode 1 entitled “Capital of Design”, we speak with Alayne Reesberg, the CEO of Cape Town Design NPC, about World Design Capital, Cape Town 2014 and what this means for Capetonians.
