The March 2011 figures for Cape Town International Airport do not paint a rosy picture. While Cape Town hosted a significant amount of events,which seemingly overlapped, creating a busy period unlike any other year, this has not necessarily translated into growth figures. Cape Town has certainly been “buzzing” for a while, so this raises an interesting question about whether airport traffic is an indicator of the vibe in a city and whether figures should be looked at in isolation
