Liezel vd Westhuizen’s MyCiti Bus Adventure by @liezelv

I moved to Cape Town in October last year, and heard all about a new bus system that was about to be launched in Cape Town. Finally yesterday, after six months of waiting, I heard the news that the new MyCiti bus system was eventually running, from Tableview to Town.

Excitedly, I jumped at the opportunity to try the bus on the 1st day, I called 2 friends and we drove to Bayside mall at Blouberg, where the bus was departing from.

We were pleasantly surprised to find the bus already waiting to depart at 14:00. Ticket price to town was only R10.

The bus stop was incredibly clean with massive signs pointing out that No Eating/Drinking/Smoking was allowed on the bus or at the bus stop.

The bus departed on time and within 25 minutes we were in town.

The view from the bus of Cape Town was incredible, with the Ocean on the right hand side and Table Mountain on the left hand side.

The staff at the terminals and on the bus were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I would recommend the MyCiti Bus service to everyone.

Well done Cape Town!!
