Never far from the real action in Cape Town’s streets (or public transport offerings), Future Cape Town’s @aiBester zoomed into the Thibault Square MyCiti Bus Station in the CBD, shortly after its official launch on 31 October.
Effectively cutting the journey by 10 minutes by replacing the route that snailed in agony pass the Convention Centre (with nobody in my experience ever using it), this new station shortens the route from Waterfront to Civic Centre.
With opening balloons removed, and the neat coffee stand sadly packed away (it was only an opening gimmick it appears), the super friendly MyCiti ticket controller assured me commuters in town will soon realise the benefits of having this fancy station on their doorsteps (or median as the case may be).
