Join us as we meet up with a few friends and MetroRail to try the new coffee at Department of Coffee in Khayelitsha. Bring a bicycle (R10), friends and some cash. You can also check out the nearby tourist centre, Lookout Hill.
Date: 17 November 2012
Time: To get there: Catch a train from Cape Town Station (Platform 19) at 09:15 (or get you there) on MetroRail’s Tourism Train. To get back: train departs again at 13:30 (or cycle back).
Venue: Department of Coffee, corner of Ntlazane street & Khwezi crescent, near Khayelitsha train station). But you are welcome to tour around at your own leisure (example, you can cycle down Spine Road to Lookout Hill).
Bring: R28 (add R10 if you bring a bicycle) for train ticket – and some cash for coffee and treats
Why: Because Cape Town is getting beeeger and there is much more that still needs to be discovered!
The good folk at MetroRail ha offered us their #TourismTrain for the event – for a smooth ride…!
Their open day is coming up next weekend! Looking forward to it! 🙂
Snap! Are you coming as well…?! Be nice to cycle together – or see at least see you there.
I’m thinking of coming through and taking the train from town, sans bicycle! I definitely want to be there! Hope to make it.
Is it ok to take an earlier train back? Have a wedding on!
There are some regular trains that will run earlier…
