In terms of the naming policy for MyCiTi stations, as approved by Council, the proposed names of MyCiTi bus stations are being advertised for public comment. After the comment period has elapsed, a report will be submitted to Council for consideration and approval and a final decision on the names of stations will be taken. The naming of the stations has been guided by their geographic and place locations.
The following names have been proposed for the additional bus stations that have been or will be constructed to serve the areas of Table View, Atlantis, Montague Gardens and surrounds, and the central city. These names and locations are listed below:
- Adderley (on Adderley Street, north of Riebeeck Street)
- Ascot (on Racecourse Road, 100m west of Grand National Boulevard)
- Atlantis (on Reygersdal Drive, 200m north of Meermin Road)
- Boy de Goede (on Blaauwberg Road, west of Boy de Goede Circle)
- Century City (on Century Boulevard, just east of Century Way circle)
- Doornbach (on Potsdam Road, at intersection with Usasaza Street)
- Dunoon (on Potsdam Road, at intersection with Dumani Road)
- Grey (on Blaauwberg Road, west of Grey Avenue)
- Janssens (on Blaauwberg Road, west of Janssens Avenue)
- Joe Slovo (on Omuramba Road, 200m north of Freedom Way)
- Killarney (on Potsdam Road, at intersection with Silverstone Road)
- Melkbosstrand (on Otto du Plessis Drive, 50m north of Birkenhead Drive)
- Montague Gardens (on Koeberg Road, 100m south of Montague Drive)
- Omuramba (on Racecourse Road, 200m west of Omuramba Road)
- Porterfield (on West Coast Road (R27), just north of Link Road)
- Potsdam (on Potsdam Road, north of Blaauwberg Road)
- Ratanga (on Ratanga Road, 200m north of Shayele Road / Century Boulevard)
- Refinery (on Koeberg Road, 100m south of Plattekloof Road)
- Sandown (on West Coast Road (R27), south of Sandown Road)
- Sea Point (on Beach Road, east of Queens Beach Circle)
- Waterfront (on Breakwater Boulevard, north of Haul Road)
- Wood (on Blaauwberg Road, east of Wood Drive)
