Global climate change, a scarcity of resources and the accelerating energy demand from emerging markets such as China or India pose significant challenges to global and local energy supplies. The question as to how supplies can be secured for the future is becoming increasingly urgent. In this context, we dealt with the topic of “Building a Sustainable Future: Unlocking the Energy Challenge” during the Harvard Business Review webinar / panel discussion in partnership with Future Influencers, a community initiated by Siemens.
This took place on 6th December 2012 in Doha, Qatar — as a side event of COP 18.
Panelists were: Barbara Kux (Siemens AG), Jennifer Morgan (World Resources Institute), Gregory Unruh (The Lincoln Center for Ethics in Global Management) and Anna Leidreiter (Climate Change Policy Officer, World Futures Council), Kali Taylor (President of Student Energy) and Gatien Bon (Harvard Kennedy School student).
