So a few weeks ago we posted an article called “Design your own Long Street” where we encouraged the public to design their dream Long Street using an app called Streetmix. Here are some of our favourite designs sent in from the public.
Future Cape Town is happy to share that we are officially on the World Design Capital, Cape Town 2014 (WDC2014) programme. Not only has Future Cape Town as an organisation been officially recognised, but so has our Walking Tours and the Your City Idea installation.
Over 200 entries from all over the world were submitted for the World Habitat Awards 2013. These are the top ten entries.
A reception was held in Cape Town on Tuesday the 8 October 2013 to reveal the seven winners for the Cape Institute for Architecture. The winning projects this year include an agricultural redevelopment, a tertiary education facility, two schools, and three private homes. All these projects differ in scale and context, from a luxury residence to a rural setting.
