Pidgin Perfect and arts producer Natalia Palombo, in a collaboration with the British Council’s Connect ZA project and Creative Scotland, created a short film – ‘The Power of Film to Transform Lives and Communities: A Festival of African Storytelling, Film & Design’ – as part of the World Design Capital 2014, Cape Town project.
The team went to Johannesburg and Cape Town, engaging with some of the most talented Africans in the creative arts and design in South Africa’s 20th year of democracy. The aim was to explore and document the power that creative practices across Film; Visual Art; the Performing Arts; and Architecture & City Making have in bridging divides and transforming culture in post apartheid society.
