The new Museum of Contemporary Art Africa – Zeitz MOCAA is a R500-million redevelopment project, in the Silo complex at the V&A waterfront. The museum will have 80 galleries, 18 education areas, a rooftop sculpture garden, a state of the art storage and conservation area, and Centres for Performative Practice. The project is a partnership between the V&A Waterfront and Jochen Zeitz.The museum building is designed by Thomas Heatherwick purposes an old grain silo which was once the tallest building in Cape Town.
